Community Pet Food Bank

At MOAS, we understand that sometimes families need a little help. We are committed to doing everything we can to help keep pets with the people who love them, and so we're proud to offer our Community Pet Food Bank. Individuals who need assistance are welcome to stop by the shelter to pick up dog and cat food that we receive as donations from our community partners. We also occasionally have treats available. Supplies are limited, so feel free to call the shelter prior to your trip if you have a specific need. You will be required to fill out some basic information and agree to the food pantry policies. This is just one of the many ways that MOAS is committed to helping our community.

Our Food Bank Hours are Wednesday - Sunday from 12noon to 4:00pm.

Food Pantry Policies:

  • Services are available to Madison and Oglethorpe County Residents

  • Pet food may be picked up once a month

  • All animals must either be spayed/neutered

  • Any animals not spayed/neutered can sign up for surgery through our Spay if Forward Program (application listed under our “services” tab). Animals must be altered (or on our surgery schedule) within 3 months of receiving pet food.

  • All animals are encouraged to be up-to-date on vaccinations. Please see our Vaccine Clinic tab for more information on low-cost vaccinations!
